Before I started this page it already had some green ink sprayed on it. The cool colors that were already on the page made me use it as a base for a floating girl.
First I decided where I wanted the floating face so that I could keep that part more or less free of acrylic paint. It makes it easier to color in the skin, especially since I hadn't decided what medium I would use. I did know that I would add a waterlily to the left of the page and that I would draw it on separate paper and collage it on top of the background.
So to make the water I used Acrylic paint in different shades of blue and streaked it in a circle around the face.
I decided to color in the face with Tombow markers. The flower and leaves were colored with copic markers and some details were added with Faber Castell Polychromos, cut out and glued down with Modge Podge.
I messed up the edges with some black paint on a fan brush (another leftover from another page, I really should stop trying to use every last bit of paint anywhere) I made some inward feathering. But after the page was finished I didn't like it, it didn't fit the rest of the page so I tried to wipe it off and used distress ink in the color Black Soot and a blending brush to darken the side edges.
