Once upon a time I had blue leftover acrylic paint that I used up on this page by rubbing it through an arrow stencil. The page stayed that way for a while, not sure what to do with it until now.
I saw the arrows and thought of a lost girl trying to find her way, but having no clue how to use a map.
First I added a wash of yellow acryl (acryl paint +water) at the top of the page and a green wash at the bottom. The whole was to bright so I added 2 layers of white wash to tone down the whole page.
On a separate paper (Mondi Color Copy 120gsm) I drew the girl and colored her with Copics. I also printed out a map of Switzerland on craft paper. I glued the girl with Modge Podge and the map with double sided tape. I crumpled, folded and stuck the map upside down, to give the impression she is lost, but her face looks too smiley and composed to give that vibe to the whole page.
On the left side I drew a signpost with some Swiss City names on.
To finish the page of I added a golden and black border, outlined some of the arrows with gelly roll pens in blue and greens and gave the girl a green shadow with Inktense pencils that I blended with a wet brush.
