Falling Alice

I promised some more Alice inspired pages, so here is one of them.

This page started with spirals. I found my daughters spiral designer that she used maybe once since she got it probably 10 years ago. (she's 15 now :) It actually came with 3 complete sets, so I donated 2 but decided to keep one for myself. Not sure I will use it often, but I did on this page!

So I started with blue and purple spirals all over the page. Most of those spirals smudged and almost disappeared with the next layer of diluted acrylic paint. So I added some more after. the next layer is some stenciling of fuchsia flowers and black lettering. To darken the edges I used Wilted violet and Dusty concord distress ink and blended them. To finish off the background I drew some cups and key's and gave them a little bit of color with Tombows.

Then I started on Alice. I decided to draw and color het on separate paper, cut her out and then collage her onto the page. I used 120gsm Color Copy paper and Copics to color het with some details with polychromos Pencils.

The last finishing touch was to contour Alice with purple tombows and blend it a little with water.
And this is the finished page:

Don't worry, this won't be the last Alice in wonderland page! I have some ideas for at leat 2 more pages :)
